Hi, I'm MaddieMaddie Lane is a voice, acting, and musical theatre audition prep coach currently residing in Los Angeles, California.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Maddie has studied voice for over 15 years - in Memphis, Los Angeles, New York, and Orlando. Maddie has helped a variety of singers unlock their singing potential by navigating the "why" behind the voice, utilizing the science in singing to bring out certain vocal qualities. Maddie has taught voice for over five years to hundreds of students, focusing on ear-training, vocal placement, creating a character within a song, and building student audition books with musical theatre, pop, rock, and other styles. In addition, Maddie has studied acting since she was a child, combining various techniques from a variety of LA acting schools and teachers to create her own unique process that allows actors to sync with the characters they portray, creating honest and authentic script work. Maddie worked at Walt Disney World as an Equity Performer for almost a decade, appearing in shows such as Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Disney Junior Live on Stage. She also appeared in various shows at Universal Orlando Resort. A proud member of Actor's Equity and SAG-AFTRA unions, Maddie has a variety of regional theatre credits as well as TV/film credits. Maddie also served as a Show Director in Orlando for over five years and currently works as a Director at The Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles while she earns her Master's in Fine Arts from the University of Central Florida. Maddie prides herself on the work she does to not only teach students the skills necessary to succeed in the world of performing arts, but to educate them in all aspects of the entertainment business in order to build them up and encourage them despite the guaranteed rejections that come along with it. |
